Swiss Post Solutions participates in National Disability Employment Awareness Month

On October 27, 2009, over 100 New York Employers and Non-Profit representatives attended the 2009 National Disability Employment Awareness Month Breakfast in downtown New York City. Swiss Post Solutions was one of event sponsors, and SPS Chief People Officer, Russ Cusick, served as this year's host and program Master of Ceremonies. At the breakfast, Swiss Post Solutions was recognized by Commissioner Matthew Sapolin as a model employer. Russ Cusick told the audience, "Swiss Post Solutions will continue to look for ways to employ the right people, in the right jobs, at the right time, whatever their 'abilities' may be."

In addition, as a major participant with the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities, Swiss Post Solutions helped in the citywide planning of the NYC event celebrating National Disability Mentoring Day on October 21, and also hosted a mentee, Mickey Chan, who hopes to one day work in a large mail room. As an important building block to his future employment, Mickey spent time at two of our outsourcing operations and had a one–on–one–meeting with CEO, Dan Moscatiello.
