Do you contribute to the Royal Mail pension plan? If so look out for your personalised benefits illustration, which will be mailed to your home at the end of the month. It will refect recent changes to the scheme including the raising of the pensionable age from 60 to 65 from April 2010. It will show benefits payable at age 60 and at 65, where appropriate, and is based on pensionable pay as at 31st March 2009.

There's been a few people on here recently asking about how much
they would get in pension, or on taking EVR.
You really need to read your RM Annual Pension Statement when you
get it, and keep them for future reference - you will be able to judge
how much the unagreed changes to our pensions has cost you.
And you will get a good idea how much you would get if you are
considering EVR.
