The real world

For a long period we have been told to live in the real world by management. The ballot result has shown that we are living in the real world. Leighton and Crozier have consistently failed to deliver on their promises in terms of the changes needed within Royal Mail. We should thank management for delivering the yes vote. We have accepted for some time that changes are needed, however, it is the methods management are employing to achieve those changes which are in dispute.

I am looking to send an email to Leighton and Crozier thanking them for their efforts in ensuring the yes vote, they couldn't have helped out more really could they?

Certainly not. The arrogant attitude they have used and which has filtered down through the ranks to the Line Managers via the so-called WTL sessions and treatment of newer and quieter members of staff has been a boon. The announcement by Lord Haw Haw Crozier that we are 40% underworked and 25% overpaid was the sort of boost to the CWU that money could not buy. Yes, once Gordon Brown realises what a liability this pair of con men are to Royal Mail and his Government, we will be bidding both of them goodbye.

Welcome Ian - Pinky and perky have certainly given the union more power and members. At least they did one thing right (for the wrong reason though)
