Suzanna was stunned to learn she had won after sending a Christmas card to her son Max — who will also receive £5,000, as all prizes are shared between the sender and the recipient.
“I’m very excited,” said Suzanne, who works at a GP surgery in Ifield, “I plan to put my prize winnings towards some house improvements. I'm currently having work done so it may go towards a new kitchen or windows.
“It's nice to send and receive cards, so this is fantastic. Max was rather pleased as well.”
The Magical Card Prize Draw runs until 24 December, with Royal Mail giving away over £500,000 prizes to more than 1,000 winners. Each prize is shared between the sender and the recipient of the winning card, including daily £10,000 prizes and a bumper £100,000 giveaway on Christmas Eve.
Richard Travers, Managing Director of Letters at Royal Mail, said: “Sending cards is a wonderful way to spread festive cheer, and we’re thrilled to make it even more special with our Magical Card Prize Draw. Congratulations to Suzanne and all our winners.”
