Residents of a village who have not received any post since the beginning of the year said that they have missed important letters about medical appointments and pensions.
Royal Mail blamed "severe weather" for delays at its Bradford North delivery office in early January and said its service in Baildon had now returned to normal.
Stuart Couzens said that he only received mail on one day, the 16th, after making a formal complaint, but that on that occasion the postal worker delivered letters to no other properties on his street.
He said: "Luckily in that post there was my form from the NHS for a blood test. Since then, we have had no mail."
'So annoying'
He informed his local councillor, Debbie Davis, who described the delays as a "big issue in the area".
She added: "Hundreds of people on several streets have been in touch. People are concerned.
"Some people are waiting for important issues, hospital appointments, that sort of thing."
Bob Mayse and his wife were due letters from the hospital and their pension provider but have had no post this month, which he described as "frustrating".
"It's so annoying, because every day you think 'today is the day they're going to come' and they don't come," he added.
Some parcels and packages are still being delivered to the area despite the absence of letters.
A spokesperson for Royal Mail said snow and ice created "very difficult conditions" earlier in the month, and staff "worked hard" to make all deliveries as conditions improved.
They added: "We have since returned to regular service and thank customers for their patience and understanding."

I mean, I can't refute that. In the eleven and a bit years since the service was privatised QoS been like this nearly the whole latter half.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑23 Jan 2025, 11:06They added: "We have since returned to regular service [...]"
