Starting on the 26th October 2024 a Postbox on Manor Farm Road in Southampton will be changing to the 9am Collection Time Monday to Friday and 7am on Saturdays.
Is the plan eventually for every postbox in the UK to become a 9am collection on weekdays and 7am on Saturdays?

A lot of Boxes get cleared by posties on their walks when they get to them.
Considering we don't leave the DO until gone 10am you can work it out.

All the postboxes around where I live have been 9am for a few years now. Think there might be just one, outside of a post office which is later

Looks like they are changing the collection times of "underused" post-boxes as part of the rundown of the Universal Service before Kretinsky takes over. I wonder if they have advised the regulator or if they are using the agreement they arrived at in 2014 viewtopic.php?t=66737

It isn't a 9am collection, it is a "from 9am" collection.
RM's long term plan will be for practically every post box to be emptied by posties on delivery, so most will be "from 9am". With deliveries being pushed back later in the day it is unlikely that many will be emptied at 9am, but RM cover themselves by putting those details on the boxes.

I have the same time on our local box, but the driver failed to pick up at that time. I waited till 9.10.

Is it "at" 9am or "from" 9am ? The collection plate on the box should also tell you where the closest box with a later collection time is.
