If I scan a QR code on a stamp it comes up with a long code starting JGB e.g:
JGB S12231017031115672370009609032201 26AE144193B71C5C01
I know posties can scan these QR codes when they deliver them but don't have to yet as far as I'm aware.
I've had parcels before which had a jgb qr code and if I removed the first 6 digits after the jgb, I could often input the next 11,16 or 21 digits into royal mail tracking and it would tell me if it's been delivered. But that was for services like standard parcels and this hasn't worked with normal stamps yet.
Does anyone know if this is possible for stamps through royal mail tracking or some less well known tracking service?
