Click & Drop label barcode - incorrect information

Post by dezza »

I recently purchased a standard second class label from Click and Drop, on scanning the barcode to book a collection via the RM app a different number came up so I typed it in manually and it went through. The postman collected it as booked, but two 'collection failed' emails came through on the day.

On scanning the label barcode on a QR reader app, the barcode relates to a completely different address from the one on the label and for a Tracked 24 item, which explains why the collection didn't register as successful but I haven't come across this issue.

Is it likely the parcel will be delivered to the recipient on the label, or do the systems go by the information on the barcode?

Thanks.

The address in the QR code won't affect delivery as it will only be used as a confirmation scan.

The address thats physically on the item is the one that it will be delivered to.

It might well delay it however as the parcel sorting machines sort by the address encoded in the 2D barcode

Thanks for the replies.

I anticipated it'd be at least delayed but hopefully to the correct address.
