Confused!

Post by chagoikoi »

I’m 65 in June, I’ve heard from RMPP giving me quotes for my Age65 benefits together with a DBCBS quote. I have just received a letter from RMSPS with another quote for NRA65, Do we get all 3?

Yes you can get all three without reduction from the age of 65, but if you're still working at RM don't take the DBCBS until you retire.

You can carry on paying in up to age 75 if you were still working that long, there's nothing to be gained in not taking the other parts of the NRA65 pension though, still working or not.

I understood that you have to take all the NRA65 benefits at the same time. Is that not correct?

I believe you can use some of your DBCBS as a lump sum for your 65 pension, so you can have a higher yearly income. As long as you keep working, I'd keep paying into the DBCBS until the new pension starts, if it ever does? :whistle
