SISO linked to pay?

So is SISO being linked to our pay when the new times come in like the gaffers are threatening?

Yeah I predict it'll be used to automatically pay overtime correctly.

Oh no hang on here I go again talking bollocks, if it is it'll more than likely to be used to dock wages if we get an unexpectedly quiet day and finish early, overtime will require managerial intervention for approval.

We've already been told, and it's in operation, that OT will be "Paid" by SISO.

We used to operate a system, like many DOs, that if you hadn't taken all your MR outdoors (during your Delivery) you could record it on a Pressure OT sheet. Some staff used to take the piss and book 40 mins every day, others just 20 mins which was the RM & CWU guidelines.

This has now stopped. If you want to claim that untaken 20 mins at the end of your Duty you're expected to go and sit in the canteen before you clock out and go home. Yeah like that's going to happen.

I guess the idea is that staff won't be willing to do that, will go home early, and down the road the SISO will show that your duty is 20 mins too short and you can have some more work added?

Our Manager said "It's to prevent ghosting, which isn't meant to happen" It doesn't bother me as I never finish early, due to delivery size. In fact it's a bonus because our Manager is always "Massaging" the OT figures to fit his budget. We've often got to chase him for owed OT with him hoping you can't be arsed and forget about it. Tossers the lot of them.

Probably a move to only pay us for 20 minutes of our owed break and push extra work on us with a view to removing a paid break altogether.

Can someone clarify something for me, I always understood that our breaks are paid breaks, so if I am on a 6 hour a day shift, half an hour is a break, so the shift is say 7:00 to 13:00, not 7:00 to 13:30 ?

7.00 - 13.00 with half an hour paid break within the 6 hours.

Managers will still offer ghost when they get desperate. It would wind them up no end if you went back to the delivery office mid duty to take your owed meal relief…

Yep, things were desperate in November when I heard some people on holiday were being contacted about haunting the office.
