Our office today…
We were notified that because the office had failed deliveries day in, day out last week (and pretty much week, week out for months now) and because dozens of walks were allegedly failed yesterday, our mail for today (Tuesday) was being deferred until Wednesday
Nothing came in other than a very small batch of mech & parcels. All sequenced mail was kept at the mail centre and will roll into Wednesday’s mail
According to the COMs this was a decision made above them in order to clear the office. It failed.
Been working at RM for years and never known anything like this occurring.

Re: Our office today…
Lucky it's not Xmas Pressure yet. Had this happened during Xmas Pressure we wouldn't have held it. During Xmas Pressure mech mail once sequenced will be sent out to the DOs whether the DOs are ready for it or notdavo04 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2023, 22:25We were notified that because the office had failed deliveries day in, day out last week (and pretty much week, week out for months now) and because dozens of walks were allegedly failed yesterday, our mail for today (Tuesday) was being deferred until Wednesday

Re: Our office today…
Tuesday was a a strange day
Only half the 1st wave turned up (no mech trays)
2nd wave turned up 70 minutes late (sat around doing nothing during this time)
By the time it turned up it was almost break time.
WORK TO TIME.

Re: Our office today…
It doesn't sound anything like wilful delay.
It's bad enough that managers don't understand what wilful delay is without us adding to the confusion on here.
It's a failure.
Failures can be planned.
They can be unplanned.
They can be network failures.
They can be distribution failures.
They can be office failures.
They can be walk failures.
It is not wilful delay.

That explains why yesterday and today were utterly dead. Monday might have been too, though it's hard to tell when there's four days' stuff in the frame.
The machine stops.

Re: Our office today…
What? Of course choosing to allow the mail delivery to fail is wilful delay. That is the most blatant gas-lighting statement I've heard in a while and supersedes most of the BS management spout. Unbelievable.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑25 Oct 2023, 17:07It doesn't sound anything like wilful delay.
