Is job share still a thing. Asked about it and the DOM seemed to think you had to cover your partners holiday without extra pay.Anyone shed any light on this,thanks.

Nope, your Manager is incorrect.
It’s up to RM to cover holidays.
You do have to get permission from him/her tho to share duty in beginning.
You will get a new contract for the hours you perform.
Anything over those hours is NOT mandatory.
