Eight new posties being hired for Elgin area

Royal Mail has informed Moray’s MSP it's in the process of hiring eight new posties for the Elgin area.

The recruitment drive is focused on resolving recent delivery problems and returning to a six-day-a-week service at the earliest opportunity.

Richard Lochhead said: "Several constituents have been in touch expressing understandable concern about intermittent post delivery.

"Despite IT we are all still very dependant on a reliable mail service for things like hospital appointments and solicitors' letters. It is therefore important that we receive our post on a regular basis.

"I was pleased to hear that a substantial number of new posties are being hired and will starting up very soon. I wish them all luck in their new jobs.

"Hopefully, everyone across Moray will now be able to return to receiving daily mail deliveries."

So how long have they been getting away with breaking the USO? Not that it matters since RM don't give a F**K. I suspect these problems will persist.

How many DOs have moved the staff intended for the DPRs over to normal walks where they're short on staff (dumping the parcels that would have gone out on the DPRs onto the walks)>
