So I left the company over 3 months ago, I finally got out the shithole. But my partner still works there, my former manager who is a total f***ing idiot was asking my partner about my bank details the other day.

Why on earth would the weirdo be doing that?

Most of my interactions with Royal Mail managers left me pondering whether or not they were being "dense" or being a "c***". It's like, there's no way you can be that f***ing stupid so you must be a c***... oh wait, f**k me, you are just that f***ing stupid.

They are a special breed of dense that's for sure.

In fact, Royal Mail on the whole is batshit crazy, it was like working in a lunatic asylum.

Loads of managers are ex-posties who couldn't do the job on delivery for whatever reason. Thick being one of them.

RM's answer; promote them to management. You could not make it up!

They always look after their mates though! As well as a few other things I can't post here but if a journo got hold of it....

Most of the problem with RM is the management system. Even if 50% of them were good at their job then that would still be a company under-performing by 50% at management level which filters down.

No wonder the share price is crap.

Badly run company with a core of nepotism deeply rooted in it.

I wouldn't worry about them reading this, they lack the self awareness to realise how thick they are.

That's another issue, they are so ingrained in their little club and live inside a bubble, that they have no idea how stupid they are, or indeed how most of them would last 2 minutes in any other business.

The fact that RM overpays and protects these numpties is why it''s such a badly run company. Rotten to the core.

maybe to claw back overpaid holiday ? think its a simple process with a court order, prob one thing they are good at ! surely you dont have to give your bank details to anyone you dont want to, or maybe he's dodgy ?

A lot of managers I’ve worked for at RM (and I’m currently blessed with a half decent one) you could give them their own bank details and they wouldn’t notice.
