Read a few comments (without any real evidence) on here about the business implementing the 6% payrise.
If this was to be true I would assume any backpay and lump sum payments would need to be repaid in the event of a no vote.
Knowing that a lot of people will already have plans for such payments and wouldn't be in a position to pay it back, could this be a tactic to help guarantee a yes vote
As i said on another post, 6% =£2million a week, they won't just offer it us & you can forget back pay & lump sum.I went on strike so we wouldn't get shafted, don't let them do it

They did with the 2%? Not suggesting they would do it but you could see RM saying "we can't wait any longer, here's your pay rise and we're now giving staff the required 90 days notice of changes to sick pay etc" At the end of the day somebody has to do something to break the deadlock and it seems the CWU aren't prepared to do it.

There is obviously a huge difference in implementing a 6% rise financially though. The pathetic 2% rise was given to us in an attempt to halt the strikes, with a promise of more later. It didn’t work. I’d be very surprised to see any rise until they have to this time, only after a possible yes vote which will be along way down the line .
