International Distributions Services, owner of the Royal Mail, has announced that Simon Thompson has informed the board of his intention to step down as CEO of Royal Mail.

He will officially depart his role on October 31st, 2023.

Amid this development, regular contributors Marek Różycki and Peter MacLeod discuss the circumstances behind the resignation, as well as the priorities for the new boss.

Priority no1. Improve the well being and mental health of all staff and install calmness to this toxic situation before things go to far and its impossible to recover the situation.

Priority no1.continue with everything RM has been doing with Thompson as CEO
