Off sick do I get bank holidays back on my leave?

Hi all, I’m currently off sick(with sick note)and it’s took me through 2 bank holidays I’ve been told by my line manager I don’t get them put onto my annual leave I just lose them is he lying to me or do you just lose them?

If it had been booked annual leave you'd have got it back but not a bank holiday.
