Pension at 55
I sent for my figures for cashing in pension early at 55 and I returned them by dates requested filling in my wishes and bank details etc. I'm not 55 till 20th May should.i have heard anything else back from them as obviously i dont know the figure for if i take any of the cash balance now. As they only provided the nra60 and 65 figures which I understand is normal.until you confirm if you are taking any benefits early. Just wonder if i should have now received full figures for everything?

Re: Pension at 55
The last time I heard, they were giving preference to those taking their benefits at NRA, plus Capita(in charge of the RMSPS) are notoriously inefficient. So don't be surprised if the process goes on after your 55th birthday,

I know someone who has just taken their pension before NRA. The entire process from initial contact took almost four months!

Take extra care with the capita paperwork, they dont look at it until the last min, if you made an error they the send you a letter to tell you, I have the general impression they are comfortable with paying later than RMPP
