Seems like they may be stuck on a last few differences. It's usually the way it goes. Dave ward said we would end up voting if it's 9% pay rise with backdated pay. Probably in disagreement about the backdated pay.

The 12th of March date wasn’t a joint statement, only the CWU hoping that all will be resolved by that date. No surprise that it wasn’t, but they should have put some sort of message out yesterday.

Exactly, nobody is holding a gun to anybodys head. They won't strike out a deal just for the sakes of meeting a meaningless hasty deadline

We will get an update such as: "Due to the complexity of the dispute, talks will continue this week". They should never publicly announce a date for a deal..why put themselves under pressure like that. If they were close to a deal, they would of just said so and just concentrate on that. But it seems like it's going to be more of the same, hence the silence

At some point you gotta have a deadline date. You can't just go on 'negotiating' last yrs or last two years or whatever deal on and on . People need to know where they stand. No way will there be the support for strike action again. Voting for it is one thing. Losing more money for no result is another entirely.

Why not if we need to? The feeling in our office is that we are ready to strike again if that’s what it takes.

Maybe they want to wait until the end of a working day to update us. Can't see why they choose a rest day to end talks.

I was on a senior Reps call last Monday and 3 weeks for a deal was mentioned/ meaning possibly end of financial year - my mate is a Div Rep and he picked it up the same way as me.
Personally not impressed but nothing to do but wait tbh.

The union are an embarrassment at local level with reps completely out for themselves. Nationally it looks like they are just as bad. £21 million a year in subs?? Most of that gets pissed up against a wall at their jolly boys outing conferences. 12th March we where told talks will be ended and we will be told. No sign of an agreement and no communication on even anything being close to being agreed. Laughable.
