Government Pension Changes

Post by freespeech »

I really hope there aren't changes coming to the ability to take 25% as a tax free lump sum.

This doesn't seem to be a government proposal, but is instead a proposal by a left-wing think tank.

In other words it isn't going to happen.

The Government are skint so they will be coming for our Pensions.
The transfer of Wealth from the productive to the unproductive is well under way.

There are always rumours about various pension benefits being slashed, whether it's the 25% tax free cash, 40% tax relief or whatever else.
They usually start because the budget is approaching, as it gives the financial press something to write about!

They are often just rumours, but there's obviously always the potential for changes along the way.
