Office Transfer - Changing Rotas and Wages Help

Post by lukiezgo »

Hi all.
I've just managed to bag myself a transfer (on loan for a temporary while). Got to the new office and they don't do my typical contract hours or rota pattern.
I originally had a Tue and Sun rota'd off (but usually did the Tue as OT) - new office wants me to do 6 days (Sun off) with 1 week off in every 5.
Before I speak to my new DOM, who I think is equally confused about the situation, do I log the entire Tuesday down as OT still? As far as we're aware, my contract hours still log at 32 hours, instead of their typical 37 hours, due to me technically being on loan from prev office. And the week off is completely unpaid...or...?
Anyone have experience on this? Dead confused :cuppa :arrrghhh :thumbup

Can't see how it works for you on a temporary basis...
Depends how long temporary is.

They have a “wally” week pattern then - where your extra day across the 5 weeks pays for your 6th week off (of course you can work your Wally week too as overtime and get “double bubble” as someone put it to me).

Now, most of my office work Wally week patterns, but I was hired on part time hours and under a rolling day contract - so I differ from most - so accommodating different contract situations shouldn’t be a problem for the office you’ve transferred to.

In fact - your office should probably get used to having loads of staff on different style contracts!

Suggest you discuss with your COM about maintaining your contract situation/days of working as you have been used to… unless you like the idea of one week off in six?
