Hi everyone, looking for some help to decide whether to go part time, been with Royal Mail since 1988,I’m 52 years old and would like to drop to 3 days a week , I’m just wondering what pension implications this would mean for me, thanks John

It won't have any effect on what you've already accrued, but you will obviously build up less going forward.

i currently do 3 days a week part time
my hours are 18.45 a week and i usually pay about £12 a week to my pension
this is the new pension and it is 6% and i think royal mail pay 13.9

The 'new' pension hasn't started yet.
But it sounds as if you're paying into the DBCBS, which has been running since 2018.
RM's contribution is 13.6%.
