Re-sign?

Post by jbo5066 »

Just a quick question - our office is going through a revision after Christmas - first in years - will there be a re-sign?

I would assume so. We had a big revision October '21, and a complete re-sign.

Been told we're not having a re-sign, just a revision, losing 590 hours and those displaced will get whatever is vacant ...

According to our manager they want to stop people signing for walks and become more flexible. Another small print on new deal they want

Modernisation?

More like back to Victorian working practices.

Bench merging, star bursting, double bundles sorting while you’re walking? Whatever next?

This is the future that Royal Mail want for you. An impossible workload that will cripple you.

Merry Christmas

This is going to go down like cold sick.

I’m for people being flexible and not stubbornly refusing to do anything other than their walk ever, but the tool to crack that isn’t to make everyone a floater 🙄

No resign, stuff to just be added to your frame. Standard 1 in 6. The mass exodus is about to accelerate.

Almost 20 walks being taken out of our office. Virtually every duty will change. Under previous agreements should trigger a full resign but looks like we aren’t having one. I know I am losing my duty. Over 30 years in the job and facing going back to being a reserve. What are they trying to achieve? Pissing off their entire workforce and pretty much guaranteeing minimum effort from the vast majority.

Sorry I’m lost . If say 10 rounds go from an office what do the postman do that are now displaced? Surely there is no round for them to sign for without a resign?🤔

I'd imagine that there's a few vacant duties in most offices, coupled with a few vacancies there'll be either a duty they probably don't want or become a reserve, yes it's really s**t there's reports on here of quite senior posties losing their duty to these forced in ridiculous plans.
