Looking to Transfer

Post by Yamazumi »

I'm moving house to a new city in a few months (after Christmas, no set date yet). I have a transfer agreed to one office through contacts I already had, however, there is another office far more local to my new house and also a lot smaller (around 26 walks vs well over 100), I wouldn't even know how to go about getting in contact with them to ask about transferring there instead? Is there anyway to get the office number or would I be able to head down to the office and have a chat?

Go down to the office and talk to them can’t do any harm.

if it's too far away to pop in, just call up and ask to speak to the DOM< say you're moving to the area do they have availability? if not ask to be put it on a list, of some sort, as you can always transfer after, But I'm unsure if it's a year or so, but I wonder if you could transfer to that smaller office but get loaned out to the bigger one until it has room? smaller offices are so much better imo.

I moved and transferred recently, and took over someone else's "position" I guess, in all honestly, I wish I just got a totally different job.
