Apparently RM have now stopped all structural revisions till January.

They will now focus on table top revisions targeting units with non 1 in 6 attendance patterns and units where target savings is under 80 hours using revised target savings based on 12% reduction in traffic.

Their own legal advice is that they cannot move start times later than 30 minutes without agreement.

The revision process is unagreed as per memo from outdoor dept on 5th and 10th August. Our position is still non cooperation.

All attempts to impose these changes must be met with the IR Framework.

A national response to executive action is being formulated.

Tell our union reps to have a word then ,they have now got us counting steps so they can hammer us,traffic might be down 12% but instead of going to a house with 2 letters now it is 1,the distance is still the same,times should be cut in processing not deliveries.We are in fact doing more work with more packets and parcels which is more time consuming and now collections on the doorsteps we should be losing a street or 2 ,what is our union doing about all of this.

Thats what should happen in an ideal world but it wont our office is overrun with early starters and extenders not sure what other offices are like but reading some posts on here its the same elsewhere

Offices being told that if you have wally weeks don't go booking Holidays afar because they cannot guarantee that come next years leave those shift patterns will still be available.

Good News WG. This Management couldn't organise a Bun Fight in a Bakery. It's a shame they couldn't put as much money & effort into growing this business for the long term as they're willing to commit to shaft their employees.

I look forward to some announcement that we can rely on, perhaps a joint statement from RM & CWU?

Been saying this for long enough in our office. Still covering same amount of ground if I miss a house out with a letter probably have a pkt/parcel for it. Our management only look at the Mail not the amount of pkts and oversize you have until you actually point it out to them

You would of thought RM would have got legal advice before in looking to change start time via EA.

Fully agree, add a bunch of strike days in the Christmas pressure mix, and we will still be doing November's /December's mail well into January / February. Let the fun times roll.

If it's like ours, Steps as in, stairs, over certain thresholds grant more time to their infinite thinking computer program. (That still managed to f**k up my walk almost irredeemably). I think the thresholds were more than 5 and more than 11? So a half and a full staircase.

Yes, its a shame that the RM board have resorted to this.

Because we know it could have all been so much different if management had stopped the dividend. The banks couldn't pay dividends for a year, airlines and holiday companies had to stop theirs and both BP and Shell halved theirs.

Honestly, the company would have had enough money to give each postie at least a 6% pay increase this year if they had just given away half of the dividend. But instead they wanted an unsustainable dividend to say that there's no money for a rise without the change that they always wanted.

Exactly, it’s no way to run a company by paying out unaffordable dividends. Like you say big companies slashed theirs and are now in strong positions with share prices on the up. Royal Mail on the other hand is 55% down YTD

With regards to our PM Woody, that 30 mins thing could make sense?
