CCTV footage of a man police would like to speak to in connection with the theft of post in Walmley Ash Road, Sutton Coldfield has been issued

A thief posing as a delivery man in Birmingham is being hunted by police.

A suspect was spotted seeming to deliver leaflets in Walmley Ash Road in Sutton Coldfield on Wednesday, December 22 but then is believed to have stolen letters left in a porch.

West Midlands Police investigating the incident have issued CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The man they would like to speak to was wearing a baseball cap, hooded jacket and jeans.

He had a bundle of leaflets in his left hand and what appeared to be a folded leaflet in his right.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Can you help us trace this man?

“We want to speak to him after post was stolen in Walmley Ash Road, Sutton Coldfield on 22 December.

“The thief appeared to delivering leaflets, but took letters left in a porch.

“If you can help contact us via Live Chat on our website quoting 20/1980735/21."
