A March postie has delivered for charity yet again after completing his latest ultra hike.
Nick Winterton, who is based at March delivery office completed not one but two 62 mile hikes and has raised £1,700 for the Dyspraxia Foundation.
In June Nick, who is married and has two children, completed the first of his mammoth walks in the Lake District before taking on his second one in Yorkshire in July.
Nick chose the Dyspraxia Foundation as it provides fantastic support from birth to adult hood for people and their families living with this lifelong neurological condition, which is also common in his own family.
The hikes were Nick's ninth and tenth challenges undertaken since 2010 and he with his latest total means he ahs now raised over £16,000 for charity.
He said: "Once again a huge thanks to everyone who has sponsored me and helped raise a massive amount of money for a charity very close to my heart.
"The level of support has been fantastic again and are what make these challenges so special. Some people have sponsored me time and time again over the years which is above and beyond.
"After a tough 18 months the money will help the Foundation carry on supporting people of all ages, and hopefully raise awareness and recognition of Dyspraxia to the level of sister conditions Autism and ADHD.
"At the moment Dyspraxia is still poorly understood on a very wide scale.
"I loved both the challenges and they were as tough as I expected - they are called ultra challenges for a reason and they are never over until you cross that finish line.
"Both challenges had many people failing to finish and the 28°C heat in Yorkshire was a major problem throughout.
"Thankfully I rode the highs and the lows of each event and loved every second.
"People have already started asking if i'm doing any challenges next year and the chances are I will be out there somewhere in the UK - so watch this space."
