The blaze started in one of the vehicles' engine
Four vehicles including a Royal Mail van were damaged in a fire at the Fosse Park car park this afternoon.
The fire service was called at about 12.40pm to the car park outside Next at the out-of-town retail park.
A spokesman for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said no one was hurt in the blaze.
He said: "We were called today at 12.41pm to a fire at Fosse Park which involved four vehicles.
"The surface of some of the parking bays was also damaged.
"The fire had started accidentally in the engine compartment of one of the vehicles.
"A fire crew extinguished the fire and we left the scene at 1.45pm."
Other vehicles involved in the fire included a Land Rover Discovery and a Ford Focus.
