More Royal Mail propoganda

Post by evilc »

" I genuinely think that most postwomen and men know - in their heart of hearts - that Royal Mail does have to change and want to be part of that change. I also believe that the majority of postwomen and men will make the sensible decision which, I believe, will be to not go on strike." Manchester Postwoman

" Its my feeling that many companies must go through a painful transition when faced with changing marketplace demands. Thats why - after much consideration - I'm happy to vote no' to industrial action. Northern Ireland Postman.

" The union has some persuasive arguments but i've discussed the issue at length with my wife. my children and, between us, we've come to a conclusion that. as a family, weve nothing to gain and everything to lose by going on strike. London Postman."

My wife has just handed me this card from Royal Mail with the above comments on it and she said," If Royal Mail had that amount of money to waste they could settle this dispute without any ballot if they wanted to."
Also I believe that no postman/woman want to take industrial action, but sometimes you have no choice but to do just that.

I saw the first one from "A manchester postwoman" she said "and want to be part of the change" - only trouble is RM are imposing the changes they are not making us the front line worker a part of the change.

The London postman had it backwards as well - A No vote will bring wages down - hours up and heavier walks- so snothing to gain from a No and current conditions will be lost by not voting YES for Industrial Action.

Me personally I am not afraid of change and if they approached the workforce listened to them and then we all changed for the betterment of the service and people not just for profit, everyone would be fully behind them and would understand the need for change. So AL and Adam stop trying the big stick approach and start using carrots, change will be far easier and more supported.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

What I find hard to believe is that RM have found three postal workers who are prepared to vote NO.

Writing things on a bit of card doesn't make them true, would have been more believable had they put names on. Ah yes, of course, they can't!

"Because I don't understand what the hell is going on, and am somewhat misinformed I'm voting NO. I want to be on worse conditions and lose almost two grand a year, because I believe everything my line manager tells me."

Or something like that :)

THE ONLY WIN WIN SITUATION IS TO SECURE A MASSIVE YES VOTE AND FOR THE DTI TO REMOVE PINKY AND PERKY (THEY WOLLOW IN THEIR OWN BULLSHIT) FROM THEIR POSTS. ITS A SHAME THERE'S NO RETURN ADDRESS ON THE RM POSTCARDS. IF THERE WAS WE COULD HAVE KNOCKED THEM DOWN RETURN TO SENDER. I THINK THEY'D HAVE GOT THE MESSAGE. :Very Happy
