No and the main reason is the terrible 'managers'.

The job is physically more demanding now with increased pressure as everything is being closely monitored via our PDAs. RM is going through a major period of change which can affect morale on the shop floor and my concern is that if managers don't handle these changes fairly, there is a real risk of good, experienced staff either quiet quitting, or worse, leaving the company for good.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Absolutely I would recommend it. There's years left in the job yet. Given the proper training and doing the job properly there's no reason not to encourage workers into the industry. All we need is a real independent trade union and it'll provide years of work.

Not a chance, although my office completes and fully staffed it's going downhill fast and the pay isn't good anymore.

Not just the piece of s**t royal mail has turned into but I think all jobs at the "unskilled" level have been drained of any positivity and self worth. Jump ship and I reckon you'll find yourself in a similar situation. Would I recommend? Yes if your physically fit enjoy being outdoors and are used to being downtrodden at the bottom end of the job market by corporate pigs.

Not at all. All the industry needs is a worker led fighting back trade union. Its always been that way.SkiSunday wrote: ↑25 Jun 2025, 19:36You are out of your mind pal loltramssirhc wrote: ↑25 Jun 2025, 18:38Absolutely I would recommend it. There's years left in the job yet.
