National review of MPUs

Post by jlong060 »

Are the union involved in this “review” ? I use this term loosely as in our office the manager and area manager have been walking around openly planning where to place things once the CSS machines are removed. This is despite us being told nothing has been decided ?!

When we lost our CSS machines almost 5 years ago, we were told we were one of the last MPU’s in the country. I’m shocked to find that RM lied.

There are many.

(but soon to be squashed, i just hope that the “operators” dont get moved into our MC as we have already inherited a load of dross from other shut down operations within our
catchment area)

They're already in delivery offices. MPUs are delivery offices which have got CSS machines installed in them

When our local MPU shut and the work moved to the MC some of the staff from the MPU retired, the rest were transferred to the MC

This is the sort of knobhead comment I expect on here. People concerned about their jobs and you call them dross. No wonder delivery staff can’t stand people on mail centres. I will remember to be full of sympathy when they shut down your mail centres
