Loads of packets, flats etc, bitter wind and gloomy weather all day. Painkillers wore off after lunch so popped another 2 and struggled through the knee pain
Cut offs. 3 BAGS EACH...some out of loop order, miles apart, literally, Loads of packets/parcels.
AND...a Full bag/multi packets/parcels in an unfamiliar area. Training new lad. He was a good un tho.
Break compromised, as usual. Freezing cold, bitter cutting wind but sunny.
Par for the course, really...
Was a quiet day yesterday, but paid for it today, Flats and letters up and shitte loads of tescos leaflets and some egg shaped thingy card..
Thankfully not many parcels.
Finished at 2:00, no break though... well 15 mins at the end and a couple of cancer sticks.
Busy old day. Plenty of packets and water bills. Finished at 14.00. Made 5 minutes! on packet duty tommoz, so shouldn't be too bad. Lovely sunny weather also. -6 oC on way to work +10oC on way home!! Bit of a difference.
Pretty good day. Loads of flats but hardly any packets. It was cold but the sun made an appearance which was pleasant. Day off tomorrow so time to crack the beers open.
Busiest Thursday in ages. Tons of council pish to every tenant in the god forsaken hole were I deliver and loads of packets. I must of had over 20 sign fors as well. All of them for fines. Glad I'm off tomorrow.
Really heavy again although the packets were down on yesterday. Late finish although some were still out. Absolutely shattered when I got home. Last day tomorrow for nearly 2 weeks.
MENTAL. 3 tubs of walk-sequence mail and 6 tubs of flats! 1 and a half yorks of packets.
Dropped 2 loops and all packets that wouldnt go through letter box. They were still there when we got back at 3pm.
Legs and knees ache like mad.
Heaviest day for me since the New Year - serves me right for working my day off. What was it with the Santander mailing that was addressed to people that had died several years go - at least 3 cases on my walk alone.
Came home and received an email from the union telling me that today is "work your proper hours days" with loads of links to posters and the like. Surely it should have told me that today WAS "work your proper hours day" as the email was sent at 1:19pm!!!!! Perhaps my £2.25 a week will be put towards buying a calendar.

failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.
