Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Usual reason..some walks are easy..these on those walks come in early and a blind eye is turned whilst they are (supposedly) on sorting,so they are ready early, out early and in some cases back up to 2hrs before me ( i promise i am not exaggerating).
Also before these duty holders go out they hang around the end of the aisle to find out who is not absorbing;then go to lineo to get these bits on overtime for which they get 45mins or an hour O/T,if they take 2 sections they get up to 2hrs extra pay every day and still finish before the rest of us.

It still beggars belief though. I am amazed (yet again) about the stupidity of individuals.

My day was OK, it was heavier than a normal Monday for me but the packets were down. Tomorrow is my day off so it will probably be incredibally light!

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
First day of our office revision yesterday,
Brought back 1 full bag of mail which couldn't be delivered within the duty time.
I wasn't alone.
"Told you young fella's this would happen.
You wouldn't listen, would yer?!"

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Took door to door where I was going on last bag, as it is single slot.
Big mistake. Got back to office at 3:30 just as my youngest vers out of school.
Had to get some one to pick him up as I was ř miles away on a bike, which we now HAVE to use.
More bags of.mail brought back Undelivered again.
Everyone feeling stressed and pissed off.
I feel sickies are looming.
Blood pressure is well up.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Busier than usual Tuesday and waiting around for the lift to the walk. Beers and a curry later on.
Day off today, chilled out then did a bit of shopping.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Cut off 3 bags yesterday and re-threw it this morning.
Normally we would then deliver the loops we didn't do the day before first ....... however we both couldn't go over today and we had an incling that a manager would be coming out to complete
.
We did the round to the fitting
and therefore at the end were 3 bags with 2 very heavy days worth in
..... low and behold two managers
came out to complete the round and do the last 3 bags....... their faces were an absolute treat and made my day, if not week
.

The two Ms by any chance? Saw them in the crew bus. They were all out on delivery this afternoon, mind you.fng wrote:Cut off 3 bags yesterday and re-threw it this morning.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Not as busy as I thought it would be, for a Thursday, and only 1 packet bag. Biggest problem was lack of staff.
