Rossco the CWU are not getting involved in their revision plans. Royal Mail will have to introduce revisions without agreement. Remember these revisions will take out 10 thousand full time equivalents. This is the biggest revision program Royal Mail have ever done.

Why does this even matter?

What's the benefit to us employees if the revisions fail and their financial recovery plan fails....

4 men can't complete our duty now (it's a stupid three walk hybrid mashed together with students but geographically huge) so I'm looking forward to it being increased in the new year

With our wages already been pretty close to minimum wage making commit to deliver without paying overtime would be illegal.

I remember Sports Direct been done for not paying staff while they were been security checked even though it was part of their working day so technically they were been paid below minimum wage.

Only way commit to deliver works is if you were self employed and I can’t see many takers of owner drivers wanting to 6 hours deliveries on foot.

They do not need any agreement, as Thompson said on workplace to his managers a few weeks back which was leaked “it’s our business to run”. I’m not saying I have any answers here but this hopeful talk of deals and winning through solidarity needs to end. Time to face reality now unfortunately.

Exactly what i have been saying too , They are happy to let christmas fail if it means winning and pushing through their t and c's , They already seem to be slowly doing so without the unions consent ,January something is going to happen and they will have something planned. Union dont have much choice left tbh Once january hits and they recover while the reballot happens they have won

If Royal Mail are seriously going down the route of making the rounds ridiculously big and expecting us to commit to deliver, especially when they are understaffing us and we have no float cover..... then people will drop like flies and they won't have a workforce.

Do they not know what it's like walking 11 miles a day let alone 15 miles.... my legs and knees and almost constantly in pain when I get back home.

These managers have no common sense. They come up with the strangest, illogical ideas a lot of the time.

Apart from "Commit to deliver" which obviously only applies to DOs, I think all types of office are going to get hit with a s**tload of EA in the New Year. I reckon RM will have looked into how they can force commit to deliver into place
