We’ve gone down to 50% less staff and then drip more in during the night. Chaos normally. No mention of the international going back in on the 18th, though the managers are aware of it

It's going to get interesting when normal packets and Tracked pick up, as well as the mech as then the other work areas won't have the staff to be able to release anyone to go into the locker

Well these all returned to our Locker last night and the staffing went from 4 at the start to 6 and by the end there was 12/13 staff in the Locker probably did not help that as well as these items returning locally the Management have decided that as well as the Passports being processed in the Locker the Tracked letters and Flats that come through for 2 customers are now Specials and so these now number somewhere between 2500 and 3000 items. The usual Locker Manager who is on holiday will not be pleased when he gets back :nana :funneh

With the foreign we had about an extra 2000 items. Ended up with around 15 staff and struggled to finish. It can only get better !

Curious as too how many scans others are giving the foreign
? We are giving 2. One on arrival and one one to despatch to DO’s

That would suggest that there is no accountability in your MC since things only "appear" to be there as they are leaving.

Even DOs have two scans although no longer in the locker.
One scan to core route and a delivery scan.

Unbeknown to you maybe someone is scanning the Yorkie labels which receives the work as having arrived at your MC at my office we do it as the Sleeves are brought into the Locker

That might happen as they get unloaded to the dock. Certainly not as the York goes into the locker.

I tend to think we are only doing one scan of each foreign item as it is assumed it speeds up the process
