There may of course be exit penalties to deter transferring out.

Nothing I have read from either RM or the union mentions exit penalties.
Would they not have to give notice before the scheme started that they were going to have exit penalties?
I know some would say that effectively the RM pension schemes, whether final salary, career average or the present interim scheme all have there own version of this with the reductions for taking your pension before the NRA dates but exit penalties are a different thing.

I thought early exit fees were outlawed a few years ago Hope so. I will be transferring out early as retiring in a few years
