It wasn't in any small print. It was loud and clear in the agreement.
People voted for it as part of a much larger agreement but it was the sensible thing to do. With declining mail volumes putting D2D into workload was a no brainer.
The fact the CWU managed to also save the money being paid out for D2D was a bonus.

With the old system of payment per item I wouldn't make half what I do from the Delivery Supplement.

My maths aint great but 4 d2d on a walk with a modest 500 houses at 1.67p gets you £33.40 how much is del suppliment

How much did you make when you were on annual leave, sick leave or on weeks where you had no d2d?

Well back then I would have had max 4 weeks a year holiday and sick wtf is that it's been 11 years n counting since I was last on sick leave so it might even itself out.

This week I received 5 items of d2d to be delivered, 3 of which were double glazing companies.

I don't look at them. I couldn't tell you what the 4 door to doors I delivered today were for. Could have been windows, Sky, Asda or Durex, I just don't waste my time looking. I get paid to put one through every door so I do.

.....with your eyes closed? If you're prepping 5, 6,7 hundred or whatever door to doors in, then deliver them, it's impossible to not know what they're for surely?

Wasn't part of the 2010 agreement that the D2D restrictions be lifted but they would all be put in one envelope per house? That seems to have gone out of the window. We only get 4 days to do our D2D here in Guildford, Tuesday to Friday, a row per day, takes about 30 mins to throw them into the frame each day!

D to D are to be done Mon to Sat, unless there's a specified date and then there should be extra payment, like election material. Your boss is having a laugh.

And the delivery office and have you turn up at a lock up with a slot frame they give you and it could be anywhere like 20 miles away or more with no parking and no idea where it is day to day!

I’ve stopped prepping them. If the night staff do them I’ll deliver them otherwise they will pile high, frame is too all over the place since the revision to care.

ITs funny when you deliver D2D's for garage doors or conservatories etc to blocks of flats/council flats. Lovely waste of time and money.

I'm part time so I don't prep.
It's a 275 drop rural.
I literally do not look at the door to doors. I usually have no idea what they are.
Obviously certain ones catch my eye and/or become familiar because they come around every month.
I've got two this week and quite a few left from last week when there were two. One is check a trade. The other three no idea at all.

I have been doing alot of overtime during the week and i wanted to ask whether i am supposed to get paid for doors to doors as i am doing them when i do overtime, or i dont get paid at all for it, because until today i haven't been paid for doors to doors the overtime i have been doing only get paid for the saturday which is £5.

Your overtime rate between whatever you're on up to 37 hours includes the delivery supplement at a pro rata rate, I'm assuming that when you say you only get £5 that's your standard delivery supplement so yes you do get paid for delivering door to doors, and mail, and parcels.

yep - it appears on the Pay Chit as SSPR until you reach 37 hours worked in total.
