i got told on the 7th of june by my DOM that i was looking at IHR as got told 2 days earlier that he phoned about looking for suitable duties but there was none. he even showed me the email that he sent off to his OPL.
for what its worth, imo its not my DOM at fault for delaying everything but those above clearly are

I think they are using delay tactics they know I can t do the job as I can only walk for short periods.there is no alternative jobs for me to do. Occupational health said they will call me when they receive my medical records and we’re make a decision together.

Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
Hi, I had my 2nd OH appointment on 26th May 2023 for LTBIH with lump sum, and a case was created by HR on that date. My senior manager has said that he has done everything his end, and I just have to wait for the quote to come through, however 7 weeks later it hasn't, I had hoped it would be sorted by now, especially since the compensation goes down to 16 weeks on 1st August 2023. There were 2 other people in my office who had their appointments a week or two before mine, and they were medically retired the last week in June (their cases were dealt with by a different manager).
When I ask my senior manager he just says that they only do 2 people a month, or that RM choose who they want to get rid off first, it doesn't count when you went onto the system, or that he doesn't know! I might be wrong, but I just get the feeling I'm being fobbed off! Does any body know how the process works? Thank you.

Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
I've just had the OK from Optima despite being referred for IHR in May.Everything has gone in technically before August 1st but who knows how long it will take to process?Somebody must have a definitive answer. Its the difference between 34 weeks and 16 so it's alot of money to lose

Like I have said in another thread mine went in early may. Optima wrote in my report that I can’t do the job and recommend I got IHR with lump sum.
Been waiting ever since for paperwork to sign.

I’m glad you got IHR I’m not sure how optima work things out , I have been off for nearly eight months with sciatica and optima wrote in there report I’m not capable of doing the job but instead of suggesting IHR they have requested my medical records

Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
For those with Optima evidence prior to Aug 1st I'd urge you to make a claim at a Tribunal for the difference between the IHR lump sums. Straightforward case of intentional delay and frustration of the old valid agreement. As HR are gatekeepers to the terms and conditions of IHR they are legally bound to implement it ( in the real world) and therefore a Tribunal will see the delay for what it is, an attempt to deny you your contractural rights. Royal mail will settle these cases in full on day of a tribunal or before I'm betting. You won't find a lawyer who will take on an £8k case for free and their costs will outweigh the sum recovered however it's a straightforward tale you tell on your claim form. Just keep it to facts and reference the old agreement. All you need on top of this is a chronology and evidence is your your Optima report and the old IHR agreement. Don't forget you have 3 months to make a claim so on safe side I'd make it within 3 months of 31st July. Deffo worth doing for 8 grand.

Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
Well I phoned my manager this morning asking him the same questions as before why is he not chasing HR up on my IHR, he told me the block on IHR will go past August and there is nothing he can do about it , he also said that is the reason why manager's are not actively chasing people up asking how they are doing, I personally thought it a bit strange not hearing from them sometimes 6 weeks without a letter or even a phone call, these bunch of twats don't give a monkeys I am just waiting for one of them to say ''you voted for it " well I didn't thanks yes voters (turkey's) .

Re: ILL HEALTH RETIREMENT
Please don't accept your managers position as tough luck. They tried apathy with me and I had none of it. This behaviour by RM is illegal .There is case law from the Employment Appeals Tribunal in your favour. Can't think of the case name, I think it involves a bus driver. If you make a claim I'll find the case for you. You don't need to reference it now. Right now, I'd raise a grievance against HR for the intentional delay in applying the terms and conditions of your contract specifically the IHR agreement and submit the grievance to your line manager. They only do what's best for the company and if that involves lying and messing you about with a shrug and hands are tied gesture that's the tactic they use. Cheats and liars. Let me know how you get on.
