Given the amount of goading going on by RM, people will always leave voluntarily, even on the cheap so it is similar to CR, but in disguise, goading them to leave for less.

It is now obvious compulsory redundancies are on the cards sometime in the new year.
Simon Thompson will not only blame losing a million a day as justification, but also how much the strikes have cost and can no longer afford the VR options. Easy way to save a hell of a lot of money with enhanced redundancy packages. Any pay increase could also be put on the back burner.
If I was in his postition a no-brainer just to turn the screw even more.
