The current 8hr x 6 agreement (which an Employment Tribunal can overturn if enough people put in a claim/haven’t withdrawn) only requires you to have “worked” the required overtime in the period. It should not matter when it was paid. Complain to HR.

Re: CWU : USEFUL HOLIDAY PAY Q&A FROM DGSP
It would not surprise me if that was a future plan.
Just imagine if for the first 5 months of the pay period everyone has reached the requirement. A simple overtime ban, hire in agency staff to cover the work usually done on OT and that’s millions of pounds saved across the workforce.
It’s a very risky game though, as I’ve said in other threads a lot of people I’ve spoken to who’ve missed out have simply said they’ll work their hours from now on. Christmas is going to be very interesting.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Surely better to put in an ET claim for non payment of average holiday pay? That way it’s potentially more money, not less.HTPostman wrote: ↑07 Oct 2021, 20:33It would not surprise me if that was a future plan.

Re: CWU : USEFUL HOLIDAY PAY Q&A FROM DGSP
I stupidly never read up on the holiday pay agreement and trusted that royal mail would pay me what I'm owed. How very wrong I was.
Putting in an ET claim is now very tempting but I have no idea where to start or how far back I can try for.
I guess I have a lot of reading up to do..

Our support team (to be fair to them) always ensure that OT is allocated against the correct week (even if it takes
two or three weeks to sort out whatever issue has caused the problem). They don't just add it to next weeks OT.

It’s relatively straightforward. Just complete the form online ASAP (and definitely within 3 months of getting told the figures) and put down what you would have got had you been paid properly. You don’t need any special legal knowledge. Just put down that you haven’t been paid your average holiday pay. RM will then have to justify their criteria (something they didn’t do before as the Union made a deal). Claim should cover the 2 year period in question and force RM to be challenged on their 8hr criteria.nuit wrote: ↑07 Oct 2021, 21:59I stupidly never read up on the holiday pay agreement and trusted that royal mail would pay me what I'm owed. That’s what I mean - Royal Mail are relying on those who’ve missed out to complain, have a (justified) moan all over social media about it but ultimately not put in an ET claim.Kaning It wrote: ↑07 Oct 2021, 21:51Surely better to put in an ET claim for non payment of average holiday pay? Like I say, imagine if everyone who missed out puts in en masse ET claims....ACAS, Royal Mail etc will be swamped and I bet they’d have to get back round the negotiating table.
When I said risk I meant it is all on RM by the way. They are upsetting huge numbers of the workforce who do OT and regularly dig them out of the crap. Now imagine if all those turned around and worked to time. Short term RM can use agency to plug the gap but longer term they’d be stuck.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

I've put my claim to acas in, they were very helpful. I feel confident. What the union and Royal mail have done is wrong.
