Work to time the table top revision is based on a productivity improvement and like I said before if an office has seen weighted traffic grow due parcel and traffic growth and their work hours have not seen the same percentage increase to cope with this traffic growth than it is likely they will have increased their productivity and therefore some or all of the improvement they need to.

In terms of the structural revisions , your outdoor after you have put in all the manual adjustments will be optimised , Hundreds of offices have not had a structural since BT2010 and there would have been delivery point growth and a increase of parcels since than.

Additionally a common complaint are the walls are not used even or fair.

The reason for the 30 office pilot is to see how well the new systems work and how realistic they are before the remaining 370 structural revisions move forward.

There was never going to be an agreement without either real time recording being used for revisions which we have stopped or revisions moving forward. Of Com won’t stop at 5 days USO if it is still inefficient hence why we agreed a productivity measure and why we have agreed to move forward on productivity.

Harry G there will be the opportunity to improve your attendance pattern and there is a menu of attendance options which you should ask your local rep or area rep for.

thanks and i appreciate what you inform us on here otherwise we wouldnt know anything and being kept in the dark isnt a good thing. , like i say im not here to argue with you , its just that when your rep doesnt know what is going on or how this is going to work and mangers telling how its going to work for them , its gets your back up , can you show a list of the 30 pilot offices being used but i can understand if you cant .

Thanks for your input Martin, however it's been recieved. :Applause

If you think you got a hard time you should read some of the other posts on here.

TBH I feel a lot of our problems are caused by Delivery Office Management, and often by my own Colleagues. Whatever is agreed at Higher Management levels never seems to be accepted, or implemented, by DOMs. We have this ridiculaous "Us v Them" system where a Manager's Bonus depends on ticking all the boxes ... and hitting his budget. To the extent that the real situation is often hidden. :no no This doesn't help anyone's view of the "Real Picture" when all the little Pie Charts, and Graphs, are showing an Office is Working Well.... when really it's Understaffed, Duties are Too Big, and the Staff have an expectation that the BS will continue whatevers decided with a Revision. :arrrghhh

My own Colleagues are often their own worst enemy. Coming in Early, Working for Free, Not Taking their Meal Relief, Not Booking Overtime....etc They're also Hiding the "Real Picture". Hopefully the Clocking In Machines may help that somewhat, But if both Management & Staff are both hiding the true situation your on a hiding to nothing.:arrrghhh

I think it'll need a Huge Culture change, for both Lower Management & Posties, to stop Lying to each other and try to sort the situation so we might finally get EVERYONE having a FAIR & EQUAL workload. The Agreement says Management, Unit Reps & Colleagues will all be working closer together to solve daily problems...I live in hope. :cuppa

Work to time it is listed on this site , if you look at the first hundred , the first 30 will be the pilots there may be the odd change as this was an earlier list but broadly it will the first 30 offices out of the 100

Obviously attendance options need certain ratios of PT/FT to work, but in an office that is 50/50 what would be available attendance wise?

Would it still be classed as inefficient if Royal Mail happened to make record profits either this year or next year??

The strange thing is that most of the growth in revenue is not within the USO products.

Most parcels and all tracked which has seen the biggest growth are not covered by the USO.

Part of our argument is that if they were part of the USO it would make the USO potentially much more efficient.

A sizeable chunk of the parcels that we sort and send to DOs as packets are technically flats, which are covered by the USO

RM will not be looking to increase the number of Products covered by the USO

I don't think that's likely either but not just because Royal Mail wouldn't want it.

How could Ofcom tell one company parcels are part of an obligation and subject to price restrictions, quality standards and potential fines while letting other couriers do what they want with exactly the same product?

There will be a menu of attendance options but every "improvement" will come at a cost.
Whether anyone finds that cost palatable ......

Leaving to one side the negatives of any new attendance patterns (believe me, I've seen many an agreement voted on that shafts a significant portion of the workforce), what are we talking about?

9 day fortnights?
job share?
Wallingtons?
4 on 4 off?
