Looks like we will have to wait until after the formal announcement that crown offices will be converted or closed before Mr. Barker contributes again doesn't it?

Do our alleged senior management think that we are all totally stupid or what???

This year's Have Your Say results showed loud and clear that the vast majority of our staff have no confidence whatsoever in the leadership of POL yet they continue to 'lead' us on the road to oblivion, simply proving our workers to be right in their opinions.

Looks like Alan Cook made the right choice; perhaps the rest of his cronies should have followed him and given POL a fighting chance of survival.

Mr. Barker has gone terribly quiet hasn't he?

I hope everything is alright with him and our questions, together with our assumptions haven't frightened him away!

You would expect him to have an answer for everything given his senior status and his ability to provide such enthralling non-answers wouldn't you?

Maybe he's worried about April 2011 just like the rest of us???

You're not wasting your time, but that doesn't mean I can tell you everything you're looking for in your questions.

What happens in April 2011 will depend largely on the outcome of funding discussions with Govt. But, as ever, the future of the Crown Network will also depend upon whether we can demonstrate that we can get the business back on a sound commercial footing. Everything said on the conference call was about a continuation of the priorities we need to focus upon to achieve that objective.

There are absolutely no plans for mass closures of Crown Post Offices.

The JV with the Bank of Ireland has provided us with a range of products, and valuable marketing support, which are helping to replace the income we have lost from traditional, government products. But, this is just one aspect of our business. The public face of the business will always be the Post Office. Along with development of our FS business, we will continue to seek out other new income streams such as Identity Services and other 'new' services for Government.
