Re: Spate of redundancies?
Sorry for the delay. I have been offered a choice of 2 years pay and an actuarially reduced pension or 6 months pay and an unreduced but unenhanced pension. In order to get this I have to sign a "compromise letter" which in passing says that if I accept I waive my right to an enhanced pension (I am over 55) which I am apparently entitled to under the rules of the pension scheme. It is not clear which pension would be enhanced though the old final salary or the new scheme. Anyone know?

Re: Spate of redundancies?
From what i heard you are entitled to the enhanced pension if made compulsory redundant anyway so all you're getting is 6 months pay extra.
I've heard that some "at risk" people in your pension situation are going to call their bluff and refuse VR and see if they do go to Compulsory on the basis that they have nothing to lose. ie the 6 months pay , which you could get in contined salary until something happens around CR- or doesn't.
