As there is no list we are not on it, but with 6 vacancies in the office the total number of duties not going out this week are:

Mon = 5, Tue = 6, Wed = 4, Thu = 5, Fri = 2, Sat = 3. This is after the 8 that didn't go out on Saturday.

If the 2 people off sick come back then those numbers may improve!

"Not going out" only means all the unimportant letters, obviously the Tracked will all be cleared plus as many normal packets/parcels as possible.

I worked my day off today to avoid a double load tomorrow.

About half of our duties get a double load if someone dares to take their day off.

For me, the sad thing is that in the past (pre covid) even a single duty not going out would be a once in a blue moon type of event. It would mean something really bad has happened, injury on duty or something. Hell, I remember in the past we've had people go sick an hour into delivery, yet STILL managed to source a member of staff from another office to complete the delivery.

We're not even hitting 10% of the duties, we really must try harder. And that's assuming the failures are being reported correctly.

Agreed, better to take a full day as overtime than a few hours extra.

At least Southend-on-sea were not the first back on the list. They seemed to be on there for ages...

We are now asked to take everything out on delivery even though we all know it will not get done on the heavier days, we used to leave it in the frame what we couldn't complete.

I am guessing this is the reason why we have never got on the naughty list as the office is classed as 'cleared',

Seems to be different rules for different offices. On Tues we left one side, as the side we delivered had not been out since the prior Friday, I was off on my RD yesturday (Wed), I got into this morning, neither side had been out on Wed, just tracks and specials, and I was told today to leave the mail and just do tracks and specials. Management don't seem to care, if the office goes t*ts up.
