It’s worth noting that if RM hadn’t frozen the LED at £3,328 and had continued to use the governments LED figure, it would currently be £5,876 and going up to £6,032 from April.
That would mean our weekly contributions would be £5.22 gross, or £3.54 factoring in tax relief and PSE, instead of the £2.88 gross, £1.97 net as it stands now. Assuming I’ve done my maths right.
But it would also mean our main scheme benefits would be a lot lower!
You can’t pay anymore in Bonusplan but if you want to pay more into a pension, you can contribute to Flexiplan or use a personal pension/stakeholder/SIPP.
