If you don't mind me asking how much tax rebate did you get? You must have paid 40% tax on your VR payment instead of 20%, PM me if you don't want to reply on here.

Oh and another thing. I once remember reading some stuff I received from pensions a few years ago, and never forgot this.

They did a survey. It said if a member retired at 60 they drew their pension for an average 12 years.

If members retired at 65 they drew their pensions for an average of three years.

Now going on the new retirement age of 67. I reckon you might get a year? Food for thought...

It's no use having the most fantastic pension/shares/AVC's etc. If it is all going to be used for care costs...
