I'd be very surprised if many posties actually sell in a quantity to cause a price dip.

Having said that, I've been keeping a modest pot of dosh handy to purchase some next month if there is a sudden drop as a result...

Agree with that, price movements generally only occur if there are a lot of sellers or buyers due to economic factors.

Even if every postie sells the shares they can on the first day, in the absence of of economic factors affecting the share
price, the price won't move dramatically because of the sales by RM staff - there will be plenty of investment banks, tracker funds, pension funds etc.
hoovering them up - for every seller there'll be a buyer.

Pretty sure you are wrong,Equiniti send the proceeds of sale back to Royal mail who deduct the Tax and National insurance and the remainder is in your wage.

the market tends to be pretty savvy though, the fact that RM employees are able to sell the bulk of their shares is probably built into the price already.

Can anyone help me regarding the shares, im being ill healthed this week and have been told i will get my share money without having to pay and tax or NI, will they be sold for me auto or will i have to sort it myself if so who do i contact

You will receive a letter from Equiniti detailing your options. Basically, sell them through them, or transfer them to you.
