Must admit I think I'll be opting out, to me this is one of those tax dodging things every party seems to want to clamp down on. Also if it keeps something open that various governments want to close or make it a volunteer based sevice, I take the small financial hit.
i can see it being clamped down on in a few years and i would rather pay full NI to make sure i get full state pension

does it say future payrises will be on your sacrificed salary minus the £20 pension ? so if someone opts out or is not in the pension do they get full payrise on their £20 extra ?

Pay rises will be based on the full gross salary before PSE is taken into account whether you opt out or not.
