Charity bags as Door to Doors on an isolated rural duty - not often but a few then put them out on the lane or track on the appropriate day as if there's the remotest chance of them being collected.

Dominoes by a country mile.
The ones I hate with a passion are Direct Line insurance, stupid little things that are a bugger to throw into the frame, get left in the frame when you pull the mail out and then get dropped like confetti because they slip out of the bundle of mail you are carrying.

Virgin def one of the worst.

Should Richard Branson know his sales teams regularly hit a street I do (that has numbers 1 to 99)
every number despite the numbering system missing about 22 houses?
This is due to demolitions 2knocked into 1 etc in the distant past.
piles of kill-offs.
Multiply that across the country.

IIRC the worst ones were:-
Virgin media - more of a joke because where i delivered, only about half the overall area could handle cable Net + TV
Matalan - absolutly sh*t paper that disintigrated all over your hands and stuck to all other mail if so much as a drop of rain fell on them...
Farmfoods - fair enough, money off vouchers.. but as already said above, there wasnt a farmfoods within 10 miles.. and most folk i delivered them to tossed them in the bin as soon as they lifted them off the floor.

God bless 'em for keeping us in work I suppose, but Virgin seem to do 3-4 different ones a week round our way. Today there was an a A4, where the address had slipped from the window in nearly every one :evil/mad And the other extreme, something not much bigger than a stamp.

Farmfoods are so flimsy, they sometimes crumple or rip on delivery. Try not to as I expect some of the oldies find them useful. But unless you're an origami black belt, it's impossible to post them properly in the trickier letterboxes

Tesco are bad. Get a bundle of walk-sorted crap from them every few weeks, to go with their daily mail-outs with their clubcard stuff.

They are totally relentless with their mail shots
:Applause :Applause :Applause Give that man a round of applause!!! :Applause :Applause :Applause
Also is it just me or are they also the worst for stuff like addressing their crap to a previous occupant, addressing it to 2/L when the occupier lives at G/R and just making up addresses that don't exist.
Nope, hardly a days go by when I don't get a' couple of inches' in my mech from them!
We have one walk in Huddersfield - different section to me - that tells me he gets Virgin letters on a regular basis for a whole estate. Problem was the estate was flattened about 5 years ago - he gets literally 300 - 400 of them at a time.

Come to think of it the local council despite the economy still likes the send out vast amounts of rubbish normally first class for a Saturday delivery for some reason!

What I don't understand is why Dominos/Pizza Hut seems to have an agreement to spam our office exactly every other week from each other, 52 weeks a year. In all the years I've been a postie I've never once had a Pizza Hut and Dominos household the same week. An explanation would be nice. Also, on a lighter note, Dominos used to deliver 4 free large pizzas to our DO sometimes but by the time any decent posties got back from delivery they were scoffed by management/PHGs/early finishers, in that order :cuppa

Funniest thing being, they are all the victims of their own demise :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :thumbup
I would imagine the RM D2D paper shufflers (they'll have some grand title) make sure that they alternate
and both companies will have it in the D2D contract to not deliver the same week as a competitor.

The 'pizza' companies are competing, therefore surely they would be happy having both leaflets delivered at the same time. RM would make double profit from doing the same
You don't know how advertising and marketing works.

I've worked in advertising in the past and there is no way they would want to be put alongside a direct rival.

Leaflets are printed long in advance and they wouldn't want a leaflet from a rival that may undercut them.

They may be competing but they would never want to be directly next to a competitor.

Dominoes.

Week in week out when they opened a new branch. Flimsy A5 paper folded in half which is a sod to put in the frames.
