A series of strikes back in 2007 is what got us all to that level. They did not give it freely without a struggle. You want more, which I agree you should, then organise and FIGHT. :Applause
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

It's a funny thing that and it happens everywhere but people would rather see your terms and conditions dragged down to their level than fight to drag theirs up to yours.
You see it when the private sector bitches about public sector pensions....
"Our pension is shite so how come there's is better..."
Result....everybody ends up with the same....shite.
Except,of course the bosses who are pissing themselves at our own stupidity.
I'm sure Mr Barker would love to "equalise" the pay...but the subs won't get any more.
Will that make them happy?...knowing counters are on the same crappy pay level as them?
Will it give them a warm glow inside? :cuppa

Getting better with the jolly old Quote Button... Upper case letters though to start a sentence. And over use of the exclamation mark – deeply tedious.

There are standards you know...

Image We get a few when strikes are on the cards, over the years the tactics never change.

Hello Richard and Paula,I hope you are both in good health. What a brilliant result for the crown office staff to vote YES for industrial action i can't wait, lets hope you get back to basics and give us a payrise we deserve and start negotiating with the union over very important issues like the size of the crown office network and our futures, we deserve answers to lots of scaremongering thats gone on over recent months. You can see by the ballot, its not only about a payrise but the counter staff just can't take anymore sales, wtl, bullying, warm ups and downs, charts and more charts, life days, if we have anymore life days in our branch i'm walking. So come on management see the bigger picture and treat us fairly and with respect we deserve it. What do you think Richard? ( A prompt reply please) no sitting on the fence.
